Houston Furniture Bank Hurricane Harvey Recovery Efforts Paused — UPDATE (9/27/17 )

Houston Furniture Bank’s storm recovery activities will continue through Friday, September 29, 2017. After end of day on Friday, activities will pause temporarily so HFB can implement a more effective process to provide furniture essentials to affected families.

HFB has provided essential furniture to nearly 1,000 Houston-area families as part of our storm recovery efforts to date, giving thousands of pieces of furniture to help in their rebuilding efforts. Thanks to Mattress Firm, Serta, Rooms To Go, Ashley, Mantua Manufacturing, Steely Lumbers, Bell Furniture, MD Anderson (Facilities), My Pillows and many other donors. We are committed to continuing with storm recovery activities shortly. The new process is expected to improve the client experience and allow for furniture distribution scheduling, eliminating many of the current challenges in providing service to the Houston-area families in need.

HFB will announce the date when we will resume our post-storm furniture distribution activities. Please check back on our website & on our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter); we also will make an announcement on our email newsletter.

Thank you for your patience and support.
