Nearly half a million Houstonians are living in poverty with countless more struggling to get back on their feet from the impact of natural disasters, illnesses, and other challenges. Many of these families and individuals are living without the most basic of furniture to sit on, eat over, or sleep on in their homes – it’s believed that 300,000 children are sleeping on the floor every night in one of the country’s richest cities.
Houston Furniture Bank works to help address this need because we believe that furniture is a critical stepping stone to improve quality of life and elevate personal pride and dignity.
Join us at our next Open House! Meet some of our staff and volunteers, learn more about the organization, tour our new facility, and learn how you can support The Houston Furniture Bank’s programs and services. The events are free, but registration is recommended.
