Tom was recruited to Houston Furniture Bank by long-time supporter Stephanie Haynes, a Houston Furniture Bank Advisory Board member. Tom has spent 45 years in the hospitality industry. He supports nonprofits that provide services to people with special needs and children, as well as cancer research. The national bedding retailer has been a longtime supporter of Houston Furniture Bank’s services and programs – providing donations and partnering in initiatives to support area families. The new Houston Furniture Bank facility officially opened for business earlier this month, with more than 200 guests, friends, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and staff joining in the celebration. The new facility more than triples the space available for Houston Furniture Bank programs and services, from 20,000 square feet to 75,000. This will help increase the number of families served to 500 families a month.
