The Houston Mattress Builders Story
Following in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the Houston Mattress Builders was founded to build high-quality, affordable mattresses within the walls of Houston Furniture Bank. After the storm, Houston Furniture Bank was able to provide furniture assistance to 3,500 survivors with the help of this program.
Houston Mattress Builders is a division of the Houston Furniture Bank and a social enterprise that addresses a critical issue by manufacturing quality bed sets for the “No Kids on the Floor” initiative. Our team meticulously designs durable twin mattresses and foundations that offer years of comfort to the children we serve. By adding our skilled team of employees to Houston Furniture Bank’s workforce, we provide the organization with flexible resources. All profits generated are put back into the charitable mission of “Making Empty Houses Homes.”

The Houston Mattress Builders manufacture handmade mattresses that are all crafted right here in Houston, Texas. Houston Mattress Builders is a private label manufacturer of mattresses available in 8, 10, 12 and 14 in. heights. Extra firm, firm, medium and plush mattresses are offered. Mattresses are made with hybrid bionic cool-gel memory foam designed to support the full body, eliminating pressure points on shoulders and hips. Custom builds and wholesale options are available. Best of all, our products are made in the USA.
